Good morning for the bride.

Yes, we think she DOES want to wake up to find this on her bedside table the morning she becomes a bride. DSC06777

An iridescent bud vase with blue swirls. It’s one of a kind from the Tom Fuhrman Studio.

A lovely pearl bracelet from Elisabetta Ricciardi, with pearl dangle earrings from the same collection.

Perfume bottles, hand-blown by the artisans at the studio of Stuart Abelman.

On a white iridescent coaster – which can also be used as a candle plate.

And white roses. Yes, that will make her day perfect. All of those. Any of those. A must!

We do love the beach! What’s the possibility we’ll find something like this green hand-blown clam-shell fromblue clamshellViz Glass amongst the other shells on the white sands? Every piece from Viz GlassDSC06611 is hand-blown and one of a kind. Come look at this remarkable clam shell from Viz’s Coral Reef Collection, and some other equally luscious pieces that will remind you of your wonderful days at the beach.

Graduation – what to wear, white edition.

Posted On: 05.15.2010  |  Posted In: Bridal, Jewelry  |

With this momentous graduation on the horizon, “what to wear” question keeps coming up. The graduate wears a cap and gown, but again – what about the rest of us? Maybe not a graduation – rather a wedding, or a party, or a business affair – whatever it is “What to wear?” is BIG. Jewelry can change any silhouette. Bring it on!

My sister, the photographer, is in decision-making mode. A current question for me is “What about white – or another luminescent color?” What will be fabulous?
Let’s start with Elisabetta Ricciardi – works with white (bridal, anyone?) and lots of other lovely things.

DSC06737 Can NOT go wrong with pearls. Or with the stunning crystals from Echo of the Dreamer.

Cannot go wrong with anything that you love! Come pick something to make your special day stunning – for yourself and your very dear someone!

Graduation – what to give?

Posted On: 05.13.2010  |  Posted In: Artists, Bridal, Jewelry  |

DSC07202OK, pretty much settled on what to wear to every pre-graduation, during graduation, and post graduation event. So, now – what to GIVE for graduation. Jewelry for the girls, most definitely.

Our graduate has tried some things on. How about this Winifred Grace swarovski fringe cut stone necklace . Pretty bracelets and earrings that go with.
DSC06994 She’s also admiring Elisabetta Ricciardi’s white pearl bracelet – seriously, aren’t we all admiring that bracelet?

Anyway – we have some other things in mind too! Come on over and fine that perfect ’sumthin’-sumthin’ for your special girl!

Did I try those gorgeous things on? Surely I did.

Graduation! Gifts and goodies!

ALSO – back to the question of the week – what to wear? (Don’t tell that it’s still a question) Anyway – back to the questions – wearing black? There’s Andrea Barnett’s impressive vintage style necklace with many, many beautiful stones.

Totaly different look – Connie Bates’ Fahrenheit pewter mesh chain necklace with blue stones along with some fabulous earrings with blue beach glass stones.

This is my own style layering – three striking Andrea Barnett necklaces, the orange cross, the turquoise cross, the bronze medal - all on seed bead necklaces. And tucked up under there are some fabulous bronze dangle earrings – because layering is so CURRENT looking.

I’m sure there are more choices – what if I decide to wear WHITE? DO come back and we will look at what I might wear with white. Oh, and maybe what the graduate will wear?

What to wear? What to give? Graduation edition.

There’s a BIG GRADUATION in our family this week! What to wear? The graduate herself is limited pretty much to the cap and gown, don’t you think? We are so PROUD of the cap and gown! But what shall the rest of us ladies wear to this momentous event? Andrea Barnett’s exquisite keshi pearl necklace, I’m thinking. DSC06517

It’s possible that the graduate herself is thinking about wearing the same?
DSC07023
Her earrings? Is she wearing MY Judy Bliss designed earrings?

Would those exquisite pearls be wasted beneath a black graduation gown? Yes. Yes, indeed. More to follow – clearly, there are lots of choices. Seriously, she couldn’t be wearing my earrings.

This is my sister, wearing a fabulous and apparently much coveted Andrea Barnett necklace. We were headed out to a luncheon, where a sweet friend wanted the necklace, then and there. It’s one of a kind. Shirt off her back? No, but jewelry off her neck. So, now my sister is looking for a new necklace.

How about this one, also from the very talented Andrea Barnett, if you are looking for the turquoise (which we are CRAZY for these days, by the way.)

We love this interlocking circles, from Laura J. Designs.

This delight from Urban Links is the one she had on first – before we ever left for the luncheon. Wonder if she would have taken this one off?

She did leave with the Andrea Barnett earrings on. But not for long. Earrings? We have lots to choose from! These are similar – we want them all.

While working on the work/party/fun look I reaffirmed….you have a basic outfit that you like to wear – a lot. It’s the middle of summer, so let’s look at this petal pink jacket with white shell. Particularly fetching amidst the omnipresent black, right? Though, honestly, this works really great with black too.
For this look? Layering – all about the layering, and we’re talking about layering the necklaces! Andrea Barnett’s two delicate lovelies make a statement! Certainly they make a statement! LOVE – true love.

Farenheit’s talented Connie Bates designed this chunky chain necklace and IT IS fierce, yet still has those soft colors that make it work here. When I wear this, I feel like making a big deal or a big splash! So I do . The champagne, when poured in Mark Rosenbaum of Rosetree Glass flutes helps with the splash part!

Do you want to be the one who FORGOT your mother?

Posted On: 05.03.2010  |  Posted In: Jewelry  |

Our friend Danielle, at sixyearmed.com loves earrings –  lest I misquote her, she is “…diggin’ the earrings!” Especially some from Urban Links. Or the fabulous dangles from Andrea Barnett?? Earrings can put a whole new spin on an outfit. Try some from Elisabetta Ricciardi. If you are diggin’ the earrings, check them out hereDSC06643. Like some fabulous baubles from Freshie and Zero. Don’t be THAT one who forgot Mother’s Day. Or at least treat yourself!DSC06723
