Since August is a HUGE wedding month, you may well have anniversary and wedding gifts yet to send. Any occasion is more festive with champagne. Any occasion more memorable when the honorees have handblown toasting flutes, like these from Mark Rosenbaum at Rosetree Glass

Or this chic shape from Tom Stoenner’s Hudson Valley glass studio.
Toast the honoree! Cheers!
Father’s Day! Bloody Marys for all!
Posted On: 06.11.2010 | Posted In: Glass Art |
Celebrating for our Daddy has always meant Bloody Marys. When we were little girls, Daddy served up our own Virgin Bloody Mary’s spiced just for our growing tastes, while the ‘grown-ups’ enjoyed the real deal. So on this and every Father’s Day, we will mix up a pitcher full of Bloody Mary’s and drink a toast to Grandy and the best Bloody Mary on the planet!
. Tom Stoenner’s hand blown glasses show off the prettiest Mary of all!
Toast Dad!

You – like many of us – may be looking at a stack of invitations to weddings, graduations, showers, anniversary parties. What to do, what to do? Another silver tray? A letter opener? For the ladies, how about perfume bottles? Exquisite. Loving this RED POPPIES perfume bottle by Robert Held. Different. One of a kind, like Stuart Abelman’s hand-blown iridescent white perfume bottles. Or, there’s this exquisite harlequin perfume bottle from Mark Rosenbaum’s Rosetree Glass. Perfect.

Good morning for the bride.

Yes, we think she DOES want to wake up to find this on her bedside table the morning she becomes a bride.
An iridescent bud vase with blue swirls. It’s one of a kind from the Tom Fuhrman Studio.
A lovely pearl bracelet from Elisabetta Ricciardi, with pearl dangle earrings from the same collection.
Perfume bottles, hand-blown by the artisans at the studio of Stuart Abelman.
On a white iridescent coaster – which can also be used as a candle plate.
And white roses. Yes, that will make her day perfect. All of those. Any of those. A must!
Shells

We do love the beach! What’s the possibility we’ll find something like this green hand-blown clam-shell from
Viz Glass amongst the other shells on the white sands? Every piece from Viz Glass
is hand-blown and one of a kind. Come look at this remarkable clam shell from Viz’s Coral Reef Collection, and some other equally luscious pieces that will remind you of your wonderful days at the beach.
Graduation! Gifts and goodies!

ALSO – back to the question of the week – what to wear? (Don’t tell that it’s still a question) Anyway – back to the questions – wearing black? There’s Andrea Barnett’s impressive vintage style necklace with many, many beautiful stones.

Totaly different look – Connie Bates’ Fahrenheit pewter mesh chain necklace with blue stones along with some fabulous earrings with blue beach glass stones.
This is my own style layering – three striking Andrea Barnett necklaces, the orange cross, the turquoise cross, the bronze medal - all on seed bead necklaces. And tucked up under there are some fabulous bronze dangle earrings – because layering is so CURRENT looking.
I’m sure there are more choices – what if I decide to wear WHITE? DO come back and we will look at what I might wear with white. Oh, and maybe what the graduate will wear?
