Since you can do some serious one-stop-shopping at Artisan Design Gallery this cyber-shopping season, start off with Andrea Barnett’s fabulous “Tassel” necklace, handmade gold vermeil links, with white pearls. Things we love, love, love about this necklace?
1. Wear it with something dressy, and the tassel adds to your allure.
2. Wear it with dressy jeans for an evening out – with the girls or your favorite date – and you will be the showstopper.
3. The pearls – the pearls – the pearls.
4. The gold links and the pearls that move with you, keeping things interesting.

A primary rule for gift-giving: make sure you LOVE the gift yourself! And everyone will love this unique take on gold and pearls.

Since August is a HUGE wedding month, you may well have anniversary and wedding gifts yet to send. Any occasion is more festive with champagne. Any occasion more memorable when the honorees have handblown toasting flutes, like these from Mark Rosenbaum at Rosetree Glass

Or this chic shape from Tom Stoenner’s Hudson Valley glass studio.

Toast the honoree! Cheers!

A stack of invitations – Remedy: Perfume Bottles

You – like many of us – may be looking at a stack of invitations to weddings, graduations, showers, anniversary parties. What to do, what to do? Another silver tray? A letter opener? For the ladies, how about perfume bottles? Exquisite. Loving this RED POPPIES perfume bottle by Robert Held. Different. One of a kind, like Stuart Abelman’s hand-blown iridescent white perfume bottles. Or, there’s this exquisite harlequin perfume bottle from Mark Rosenbaum’s Rosetree Glass. Perfect.

Good morning for the bride.

Yes, we think she DOES want to wake up to find this on her bedside table the morning she becomes a bride.

An iridescent bud vase with blue swirls. It’s one of a kind from the Tom Fuhrman Studio.

A lovely pearl bracelet from Elisabetta Ricciardi, with pearl dangle earrings from the same collection.

Perfume bottles, hand-blown by the artisans at the studio of Stuart Abelman.

On a white iridescent coaster – which can also be used as a candle plate.

And white roses. Yes, that will make her day perfect. All of those. Any of those. A must!

Graduation – what to wear, white edition.

Posted On: 05.15.2010  |  Posted In: Bridal,Jewelry  |

With this momentous graduation on the horizon, “what to wear” question keeps coming up. The graduate wears a cap and gown, but again – what about the rest of us? Maybe not a graduation – rather a wedding, or a party, or a business affair – whatever it is “What to wear?” is BIG. Jewelry can change any silhouette. Bring it on!

My sister, the photographer, is in decision-making mode. A current question for me is “What about white – or another luminescent color?” What will be fabulous?
Let’s start with Elisabetta Ricciardi – works with white (bridal, anyone?) and lots of other lovely things.

Can NOT go wrong with pearls. Or with the stunning crystals from Echo of the Dreamer.

Cannot go wrong with anything that you love! Come pick something to make your special day stunning – for yourself and your very dear someone!

Graduation – what to give?

OK, pretty much settled on what to wear to every pre-graduation, during graduation, and post graduation event. So, now – what to GIVE for graduation. Jewelry for the girls, most definitely.

Our graduate has tried some things on. How about this Winifred Grace swarovski fringe cut stone necklace . Pretty bracelets and earrings that go with.

She’s also admiring Elisabetta Ricciardi’s white pearl bracelet – seriously, aren’t we all admiring that bracelet? Also, Echo of the Dreamer’s beauty.

Anyway – we have some other things in mind too! Come on over and fine that perfect ‘sumthin’-sumthin’ for your special girl!

Did I try those gorgeous things on? Surely I did.

What to wear? What to give? Graduation edition.

There’s a BIG GRADUATION in our family this week! What to wear? The graduate herself is limited pretty much to the cap and gown, don’t you think? We are so PROUD of the cap and gown! But what shall the rest of us ladies wear to this momentous event? Andrea Barnett’s exquisite keshi pearl necklace, I’m thinking.

It’s possible that the graduate herself is thinking about wearing the same?

Her earrings? Is she wearing MY Judy Bliss designed earrings?

Would those exquisite pearls be wasted beneath a black graduation gown? Yes. Yes, indeed. More to follow – clearly, there are lots of choices. Seriously, she couldn’t be wearing my earrings.

Pearls for the Graduate . . . or her mother?

Graduation in the future for someone you love? You’re going to need some keepsake jewelry. Maybe these keshi pearls handcrafted by Andrea Barnett? Either for the graduate herself, or for her mother….grandmother….sister, everyone to wear to the graduation. For sure.

Champagne anyone?
