Chocolate
Posted On: 07.29.2010 | Posted In: Artists, Jewelry |
Or Water for Chocolate specifically, that’s the name of this bracelet. And I love it. I love it sitting on the table. I love it in my jewelry box, and I love to wear it. Every little stone, each little piece has a story to tell. The talented Margaret Thurman and the artists at Echo of the Dreamer created it and some other lovelies, and I must admit – they are among my favorites. Not that I have favorites. But if I DID, this bracelet just might be one. No maybe this onyx and agate bracelet -
Or MAYBE the one that recalls my love of all things beachy. Do you spy the ring? Ahh – go look, report back!

Stack of Invitations – Remedy: Champagne Flutes
Posted On: 07.06.2010 | Posted In: Artists, Glass Art |
Since August is a HUGE wedding month, you may well have anniversary and wedding gifts yet to send. Any occasion is more festive with champagne. Any occasion more memorable when the honorees have handblown toasting flutes, like these from Mark Rosenbaum at Rosetree Glass

Or this chic shape from Tom Stoenner’s Hudson Valley glass studio.
Toast the honoree! Cheers!
Just because I love it!

Just because I love this necklace. And it’s cousin. And its hip sister earrings. It’s chic and cool Auntie Bracelet?
Thank you, Andrea Barnett!
Seaglass

Echo of the Dreamer does some lovely things with Sea Glass. Loving these earrings – and there is a lemon yellow sea glass version as well! Since the beach is a passion, and jewelry is a passion, the equation must be sea glass + jewelry = heaven! Yes. Yes, it is. Come over and see what
beautiful sea glass creations will make any day a day at the beach.
Graduation – what to give?
Posted On: 05.13.2010 | Posted In: Artists, Bridal, Jewelry |
OK, pretty much settled on what to wear to every pre-graduation, during graduation, and post graduation event. So, now – what to GIVE for graduation. Jewelry for the girls, most definitely.
Our graduate has tried some things on. How about this Winifred Grace swarovski fringe cut stone necklace . Pretty bracelets and earrings that go with.
She’s also admiring Elisabetta Ricciardi’s white pearl bracelet – seriously, aren’t we all admiring that bracelet?
Anyway – we have some other things in mind too! Come on over and fine that perfect ’sumthin’-sumthin’ for your special girl!
Did I try those gorgeous things on? Surely I did.
What to wear? What to give? Graduation edition.

There’s a BIG GRADUATION in our family this week! What to wear? The graduate herself is limited pretty much to the cap and gown, don’t you think? We are so PROUD of the cap and gown! But what shall the rest of us ladies wear to this momentous event? Andrea Barnett’s exquisite keshi pearl necklace, I’m thinking.
It’s possible that the graduate herself is thinking about wearing the same?

Her earrings? Is she wearing MY Judy Bliss designed earrings?
Would those exquisite pearls be wasted beneath a black graduation gown? Yes. Yes, indeed. More to follow – clearly, there are lots of choices. Seriously, she couldn’t be wearing my earrings.

My sister models. My sister sells. My sister is really a photographer.

This is my sister, wearing a fabulous and apparently much coveted Andrea Barnett necklace. We were headed out to a luncheon, where a sweet friend wanted the necklace, then and there. It’s one of a kind. Shirt off her back? No, but jewelry off her neck. So, now my sister is looking for a new necklace.

How about this one, also from the very talented Andrea Barnett, if you are looking for the turquoise (which we are CRAZY for these days, by the way.)

We love this interlocking circles, from Laura J. Designs.

This delight from Urban Links is the one she had on first – before we ever left for the luncheon. Wonder if she would have taken this one off?
She did leave with the Andrea Barnett earrings on. But not for long. Earrings? We have lots to choose from! These are similar – we want them all.

Every Mom loves flowers, right? Especially when the fabulous red poppies will never fade! Mom will serve it up with style with these Robert Held RED POPPIES tumbler and pitcher combo. Or perhaps it’s just a must have at your own house for summer entertaining!
Urban Links Layers
Posted On: 05.01.2010 | Posted In: Artists, Jewelry |
The thing I love about these Urban Links necklaces is the layering. The layering look is so, so current – and this is ONE necklace with many layers. As long as we are talking ONE – the Passion Fruit Gemstone necklace is one-of-a-kind, so don’t dally when shopping for mom – or yourself! And for those of us who go for the ‘matching’ look, the earrings
are fabulous as well. We are really loving Urban Links’ story as well – two sisters living in different parts of the world, who loved beads and jewelry as children and have fashioned that passion into exquisite hand crafted jewelry. EVERY mother would love a piece of jewelry with a back story about sisters. Check out this one of a kind Passion Fruit necklace – with layered look – along with other cool pieces – layered or not – but all from the Urban Links sisters.
