Artisan Spotlight: Fiddlesticks Handcrafted Jewelry
Posted On: 12.31.2009 | Posted In: Artists |
Nancy’s and Fiddlesticks handcrafted jewelry has a simple approach. Starting with raw materials like Swarvoski crystal, Italian Sterling, hand blown glass and hand picked luminescent pearls, the Fiddlesticks collection is an amalgamation of fine components, unconventional lines and color.
In other words, what makes Fiddlesticks … well Fiddlesticks, is the unique design approach to creating one-of-a-kind jewelry.
Before diving into the artisan community, Nancy was a commercial pilot, falling in love with the industry by acccident. She hand made Hairsticks that she used to keep her hair out of the way while flying, turned into a chance meeting with a local gallery owner. The rest is artisan history.
Please browse our collection of Fiddlesticks Handcrafted Jewelry, and see for yourself the dedication and talent that Nancy and crew bring to the table.

Artisan Spotlight: Freshie and Zero Handcrafted Jewelry
Posted On: 12.10.2009 | Posted In: Artists |
A beloved Jack Russell Terrier and an excitable manager that thought Bethie and Freshie rhymed well, brings us to the root of how hand crafted jewelry with the name Freshie and Zero came to be.
Freshie, a.k.a. Beth, started her jewelry career at the ripe age of 10 peddling “friendly plastic” jewelry pieces out of her classic caboodle. Years passed and saw Freshie selling her jewelry at craft shows and to wholesale accounts across America. Every piece of original art in the Freshie and Zero jewelry collection is simple and feminine, with a hint of modernity yet still classic, using very basic geometric shapes to create inspiration and truly individualistic jewelry out of simplicity.

Introduction to Handmade Jewelry
Posted On: 12.01.2009 | Posted In: Artisan FAQs, Jewelry |
Handmade jewelry from the Artisan Design Gallery. It’s variety and beauty meshing together in a perfect marriage of sizes, shapes, vibrant colors and patterns. Artisans specializing in hand crafted jewelry find inspiration in the many variances (subtleties at their best) that makes each piece quite unique.
Through all of the scouring we do to find the best in original art from every corner of the artisan community, we look for handmade necklaces, artisan bracelets and more that capture the essence of artisan jewelry. That is of course debatable depending on who you ask, and every artist would likely provide different criteria as to what makes a piece of jewelry one of a kind.
For us here at Artisan Design Gallery, it’s the colors that make our handmade jewelry pieces unique, and since our artists utilize color in every bead, crystal, semi-precious stone and pearl, no piece will ever look exactly the same when compared side-by-side. It’s no secret then that the individuality of each piece in our jewelry collection is something we take great pride in.
