Nancy Giere (NGlassworks)

After creating fused glass jewelry as a way of unwinding from the stresses of a consulting business, Nancy Giere began to share her work with friends, family and clients. The response was overwhelmingly positive, so Nancy ventured out on her own and started NGlassworks, LLC.

Each handmade glass art and handmade jewelry piece is inspired by colors, shapes and patterns Nancy observes in her back yard and travels throughout the world.  Subtle variance in type, size, and color of the glass she uses in each jewelry piece reacts differently, resulting in unique jewelry creations of beauty.

Nancy's Process:

Nancy uses different sizes, colors and shapes of glass to create a collage, which is then fired in a kiln at 1485 degrees. The individual components are fused together to create a new whole, the cut into different shapes and sizes to create individual components for pendants, earrings and bracelets.

Each component is then fired a second time at a lower temperature to smooth and polish each unique, handmade piece.
