Abelman Art Glass

As proprietor and founder of Abelman Art Glass, Stuart Abelman is the primary artist, designer and master craftsman behind the unique and unusual pieces that his studio has produced steadily since 1977. Stuart Abelman was also a pioneer and leader in the art glass movement in the 1960's, one of a select few glassblowers in an elite group of budding artists trying to revive an almost altogether lost art form at the time.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Abelman received a BFA in painting and sculpture from Carnegie-Mellon University and a MFA in glass at UCLA.

In addition to film and television credits including "Star Trek - Generation, " his work has also been commissioned at the House of Blues, the White House, International Airport exhibit, The Disney Company, installation in a San Francisco restaurant and several major catalogs.
