Tivol Studios - Jane Tivol
Jane Tivol spent nearly 13 years in floral design before realizing that she was an artist, just not in the right medium. Her passion for art glass lies in the quality and processes that make each piece appear to be trapped in a state between fluid and solid.
In the summer of 2000 Jane relocated to the Pacific Northwest to become a glass blower, stumbling upon an opportunity with a with a glass company in Portland, Oregon named The Bullseye Glass Company, the pioneers and largest manufacturer of handmade fusible art glass in the world. Here she studies diligently the process of working with warm glass.
Jane often focuses on names for her glass pieces based on people and places that have inspired her.
